Pangea World Theater Transcending Borders Through Art

Ranging from voice training to directing to martial arts, Pangea World Theater offers a variety of classes that challenge our minds and bodies and push the boundaries of theater by melding the new and the ancient, East and West, the personal and the political.  

All of our classes take place in the perfectly located Pangea World Theater studio space and are taught by seasoned actors, directors, dancers, martial artists and writers who journey with students in voice, acting, or movement oriented courses. All course schedules to be announced.

KALARI

Pangea’s International Institute for Movement and Theater Training continues its series of classes that focus on physical exercises and body movements from all over the world with the South Indian martial art kalaripayattu.

Kalari is one of the oldest martial arts forms in the world originating in Southern India. This training is all about disciplining the physical body and attaining mental balance. Many movments are similar to those practiced in Yoga, with a focus on self-defense and increased energy and stamina. Pangea World Theater is one of the few institutions in the U.S. that offer training in this unique art form. All age groups and ability levels are encouraged to join!

Classes are held 3 days per week and instructed by Dipankar Mukherjee, student of Guru Shaji K. John.

Class times:
Tuesday 6:00-7:30pm
Thursday 6:00-7:30pm
Saturday 9:00-10:00am

Class Fee: $75 per month for 3 classes per week or $50 per month for Saturday classes. Fees are due on the 1st of each month.
