LSA! "Movement/Resistance" Workshops led by Leslie Parker

 

2 Parts: May 18 & May 20, 6:00-8:00 pm, Pangea World Theater Studio, sliding scale fee $10-$20

 

Our collective reflection is based on the question; how can we use movement to encourage personal responsibility and expand awareness to uphold the feminine presence? Movement/Resistance is a platform to examine Afrofuturistic perspectives through movement as a means to embody empowerment and social change. Join Parker on an experiment as she leads participants through a journey of memory, lineage and cross-cultural pollinating in real time through dance.

 

Dance experience is preferred. All levels are welcomed. Please wear comfortable and unrestricting clothing for a rigorous movement exchange. POC and Allies are strongly recommended and encouraged

to attend.
