In a time of pandemics and uprisings, Life Born of Fire arises from the ashes. Complicated, unfinished, unfurling. What insists on blooming forth. What raw, real gifts are we carrying from ancestors — towards descendants and for ourselves, our weary bodies, our lovely hearts.
An ensemble created performance ritual with song, music, poetry and movement. Life Born of Fire is an invitation to be together to hold the grief and the healing, the breaking and mending.
Created and performed by: Sharon Day, Sir Curtis Kirby III, Suzanne Victoria Cross, Lisa Marie Brimmer, Rebecca Nichloson, Sandra Agustin, Ayanna Muata, Cam Muata, Ellen Marie Hinchcliffe, Walken Schweigert, Johanna Keller Flores and Darren Johnson
