LSA! Conversations of Transformation
***NOTE to all friends, allies, and interested parties:
We at Corcoran Neighborhood Organization and Pangea World Theater are postponing this event originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 23rd to Wednesday, September 21st, at 6pm. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! We are postponing so that we can better support tenants organizing for their housing under the rule of Stephen Frenz.
Frenz owns a bunch of buildings he won't maintain while collecting rent from low-income tenants. Now that the economy is picking up, and he is under investigation, he wants to sell to someone who will "upgrade" (read: repair so that the units are livable) and raise the rents beyond tenants' means.
We need to organize to put a stop to this. If the families in this building are displaced and priced out, the neighborhood will lose about 25% of its Latinx population.

Join Pangea's Lake Street Arts! and Corcoran Neighborhood Organization (CNO) for a neighborhood conversation about Housing. 6:00 to 7:30pm on Wednesday, September 21st at Corcoran Park, 3334 20th Ave S. A light meal will be provided.
In the Corcoran neighborhood, many residents enjoy a safe, decent, stable, and affordable place to live. But many other residents suffer from mold, infestations, broken heat or plumbing, unsecure buildings, abuse or discrimination from their landlord, or other problems. What needs to change so that all residents in our neighborhood and in our city have a safe, decent, stable, and affordable place to live?
Please bring a question you have about what’s working or not working about housing in our neighborhood and in our city.
