If you would like a sign, you can pick one up at any of Pangea's events including our three weekend festival of new work starting in October entitled- Milkweed Maps- Festival of New Work or at our Gala on November 16, 2025

Or at Pangea 711 W. Lake Street Tuesday and Thursdays from 10:30am and 3:30pm. Please call ahead to make sure someone is in the office. (612) 822-0015.

These signs are $25 each to print, so if you are able to make a donation towards the printing ithat is appreciated. You can donate online by clicking on Make a Gift at the top of the page or in person. Remember to send in your picture and story to add to the Milkweed Map! Thanks!

Milkweed Maps Yard Sign Project is a simple way to connect all the small acts we can take to tend to our shared Earth.

This work of art yard sign encourages Milkweed and pollinator friendly planting for the Monarch Butterfly and letting the leaves and plants winter over to support Fireflies, Bumblebees and more.

Each small act we take stitches together a map of renewal and resilience for all of us. Add to this map. Get a yard sign at one of Pangea's events or contact Pangea to arrange picking one up.

Take a picture of the sign in your yard or the balcony of your apartment where you have a potted flower, your community space or wherever you are tending to the Earth.

Tell us how you are adding to the map. We will begin posting these photos and stories here. We will also post resources here with information about native plants, milkweed and leave the leaves. Times are hard on so many levels and the solutions and exciting innovations to heal our relationship with earth, air, water and all creatures are being blocked at a national political level. We need to keep this vision and action alive. Together let's do what we can and keep dreaming, acting and being in community.

We have turned our whole small yard into a pollinator garden. Milkweed, lots of native flowers. We have a huge Oak next door and we just clear the walkways and sidewalk and let the leaves stay. They mulch and turn to soil. The Bumblebees love the Goldenrod in September. Sometimes they sleep on it overnight. We have two resident Toads one in the front and one in the back and a Hummingbird that vests nightly and lots of pollinators. Native plants really do require a lot less water. My big dream is for the Fireflies to return to the city. I used to see them maybe ten years ago. They need the leaves and tall grasses. This little patch of earth was tended for 12 years by my Mama and then when she became an ancestor I took over the work. It keeps me close to her and brings me good feelings when I sit and watch all the life around me.
